Get Quality Skin with Nars foundation all day luminous vs sheer glow Review 2018

The all-day weightless foundation works for you if all you are looking for is a luminous coverage. However it’s runny and this could make application difficult. Sheer glow on the other hand gives you a radiant and fine skin. I tried out both and here is my review of the nars foundation all day luminous vs sheer glow.

Hi there, I’m a 26-year old beauty enthusiast. I love beauty products and would like to bring you a taste of some of the most used beauty products that my friends are also using. Check them out.

Nars foundation all day luminous review

If you are looking for that luminous glow on your skin, this foundation has got you covered.

End product

This product opened my skin pores and gave me that light feeling you want on your skin. You don’t have to worry about blemishes on your skin as this product covers them all.

Stay Power

This foundation has a staying power that lasts up to 16 hours. In my case, it lasted up to 10 hours before removing it. However, be wary of coming into contact with other elements around you such as water.

If you love that luminous look this product delivers it fine. It comes with a medium to light coverage on your skin. However, I would say that it did not cover my redness completely. It’s good if you have a normal skin.

  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Balances skin tone
  • Good skin coverage
  • Light feeling

  • Could leave your skin dry
  • Thin and runny fluid texture; makes application harder
  • Has to be shaken well to flow from its container

Sheer glow review

Never shy of going for variety, I also opted for this product that did not disappoint except for a few concerns.

Radiant skin

It gives you that radiant skin that is smoother, softer and hydrated. It has the ability to create that natural glow on your skin. I noted a bright radiance and texture on my skin after use.

Sheer to medium coverage

If you are light or fairly skinned with a yellow undertone, you could consider using this product as it will work fine for you. It evens out your skin tone with a translucent coverage. However, its coverage and consistency on my face was disappointing, left peeking lines of skin on my face.

Stay power

Sheer glow lasts all day on your skin. It does not get transferred even in warm weather. Lasted on my skin for a record 8 hours.

You don’t err in choosing either of these products. There is a thin line when it comes to their pros and cons as you will see below.

  • Decent coverage
  • Radiant skin coverage that is natural
  • Dewy and light look on skin
  • Comes with powerful anti-oxidant

  • Nasty chemicals
  • Works well when blended with another foundation of the brand
  • Doesn’t work well with oily skin

 My verdict

Nars foundation all day luminous worked out for me. It has a longer stay power compared to sheer glow. Sheer glow gives you a radiant look and evens out your skin tone. However, it does not work with oily skin.
